Volunteering Activities in Wollaton Hall
Cleaning the Roof
Friday’s cleaning task was on the roof of Wollaton Hall. We were getting the algae and moss off the walkway on the north-facing half roof.

The volunteers undertook a clean-up of the Prospect Room and the Tudor Kitchen.

VW Volunteers
25 VW employees came to the park today to volunteer. They worked on the 508 memorial, Lodge 1, restoring memorial benches and tidying up around the lake.
Our volunteer session was joined by Henry. Boy did we have fun in the Elizabethan cellars. Hoovering up all that glitter and fake snow from the aftermath of the Christmas celebrations.
A small group of volunteers helped to tidy up Lord Middleton’s Library this morning.

Cleaning Jackson’s Quarters
A small group of volunteers cleaned parts of what is known as Jackson’s Quarters in Wollaton Hall today. We think Mr Jackson lived in the hall and acted as a fire warden during the second world war.
Lodge 1 Tidying
A dedicated group of volunteers helped to tidy up Lodge 1 this morning. We added plants to the beds cleared the guttering, painted windows and cleaned up the inside.
