Historic Custodians of Wollaton’s Green Pastures
As a volunteer group Friends of Wollaton Park have concentrated on preserving parts of the park that have become overgrown. Ivy, rhododendron and bramble have invaded and, in some cases, damaged structures. With the guidance, permission and support of the park management, we have cut back invasive plants.
Our main focus in recent years has been the Walled Garden, Lodge 1 and the Formal Gardens. We have been joined by other volunteer groups and task groups from businesses to make the park a better place for all.
