Wollaton Park has a 32 control-point orienteering course.
Orienteering is a sport that combines map reading, navigation, and physical fitness that can be done as a recreational activity or as a competitive sport. Participants use a map and compass to find their way between checkpoints in unfamiliar terrain.
The official map has been produced by Nottinghamshire Orienteering Club and Nottingham City Council, or you can try our Google Map below.
There are 3 courses: Easy (2.5 km), Medium (4.0 km), and Hard (5.5 km).
If you find markers that seem to be missing, please get in touch with Friends of Wollaton Park so that we can look into it and, if necessary have them replaced.
Note: There is not a “1” or “25” on the course!?!
