Oak Trees
Read our leaflet describing the 10 different species of Oak Trees that can be found in the Park.
These oaks stand as individual giants or form parts of historic avenues.
Formal Garden Trees
The Formal Garden took its current shape around 1785, when the Cedar of Lebanon trees were first planted.
Over time, more than 50 distinct tree species have been introduced, resulting in its rich botanical diversity.

Evergreens
Find out about 20 of the most significant Evergreens and Conifer trees in Wollaton Park.
Conifers emerged millions of years before broadleaf trees and most conifers keep their leaves year-round, unlike deciduous trees (mostly broadleaved) that shed them in autumn.
Mini-Arboretum
Wollaton Park’s Mini Arboretum boasts a rich history spanning over 300 years. It features a collection of veteran trees, some of which are county champions, alongside a diverse array of trees planted more recently in the late 1970s and 1980s.

Graham Piearce Tree Walks
Between 2015 and 2017 Dr. Graham Piearce ran the following tree walks for Friends of Wollaton Park. The leaflets are available for download. (Note the date of the walks, a few of the trees mentioned have since died)
