Saturday 8 March(In association with Friends of Wollaton Park)
This small, quiet secluded space is cared for by a small group of dedicated volunteers who meet here on Saturday Mornings during the growing season from 10–12 for gentle gardening. Our aim is to keep the rampant weeds under control and allow the other plants both wild and introduced to thrive and gradually to add plants to restore and enhance the sensory and colour themes.
Meet in the Sensory Garden at 10.00.
Groups of more than 4 must book.Activities may be cancelled at short notice due to park conditions.

Tuesday 11 MarchVolunteering Sessions in the Walled Garden - Every Tuesday and Thursday.
Meet at 10.00.
Use Mr Mans entrance, then turn left and proceed along the roadway to the back of the council office buildings.
Activities may be cancelled at short notice due to park conditions.

Wednesday 12 MarchVolunteer Formal Garden Maintenance.
The formal gardens are maintained by a team of volunteers, supporting the park staff.
Activities include pruning, planting, weeding, edging and general tidying.
Tasks vary, as directed by Park Staff.
No need to book (unless a group of 4 or more).
Meet by the Camelia house at 10.00.Car parking passes can be arranged by the task leader. We also normally meet in one of the cafes afterwards for a free drink and chat.
Activities may be cancelled at short notice due to park conditions.

The run is organised by volunteers so, if running is not your thing, you could get involved with one of the many simple tasks that make each event work.

Saturday 15 MarchThis activity is hosted by Wollaton Park, in collaboration between Nottingham City Council, Nottingham Asian Arts Council and the Sanskriti Association of Nottingham.
The festival celebrates the triumph of good over evil, good harvest, and fertility with the daubing of coloured powers.

We ask for a donation of £5 in cash on entry for the tours which goes towards the improvement of the Walled Garden.
