Friends of Wollaton Park are a community of like-minded individuals and our aim is to make Wollaton Park a better place for all. We work alongside park staff, and other volunteer groups and enjoy the support of local councillors and the park management.

- Gardening in the Formal Garden
- Walled Garden Restoration
- Litter picking
- Tidying up areas of the park that have been neglected over the years
- Clearing and cleaning behind the scenes in Wollaton Hall
- Tidying of Lodge 1
- Trimming back nature where it is in danger of damaging heritage buildings
- Restoring wooden memorial benches

The Walled Garden
The Walled Garden project is a major part of our work. We have collaborated with the Park Management, staff, and Wollaton Historical and Conservation Society to help to restore and refurbish parts of this area of the park.
Formal Garden
Behind Wollaton Hall is a Formal Garden designed in the 17th-century style and a 200-year-old Camellia House. FoWP volunteers support the Park staff in the upkeep.
Conservation
FoWP organises conservation and other volunteering opportunities in Wollaton, Nottingham throughout the year. All welcome to join us.

Wollaton Park
Wollaton Park is a 500-acre deer park in Nottingham. It is home to a variety of habitats, including grassland, wetland, woodland, avenues of mature trees and a lake.
Wollaton Hall
Wollaton Hall is one of the country’s finest Grade I listed Elizabethan buildings and the largest dedicated Natural History Museum in the county.
Wildlife

FoWP represent our area on the Nottingham Open Spaces Forum and provide a local voice when planning developments, such as cafés and play parks.
