In July 2025, we reported that the Horse Chestnut trees on Queen Elizabeth Walk were sadly removed due to disease.
We were pleased to see replanting began in December; we are assured more trees will be planted in due course.
The replacement trees are Sweet Chestnut — replacing with Horse Chestnuts would likely lead to the same disease issue over time.
