Work continues on the Tree Nursery, with a successful volunteer session held on Saturday, March 15th. A team of 16 volunteers, comprising 5 students from the University of Nottingham and a participant in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, dedicated their time to further development of the nursery.
The primary focus of the session was tree planting within the designated area between the inner and outer walls on the East side of the Walled Garden. To date, over 60 trees have been successfully planted in this section. These trees will remain in the nursery environment for a period of several years to establish strong root systems before their eventual transplantation to various locations throughout the park.

The ongoing efforts of our dedicated volunteers are invaluable to the success of the Tree Nursery. We extend our sincere gratitude to all those who participated.
Our next volunteer session is scheduled for Saturday, April 19th. Details regarding the specific tasks for this session will be released in due course.
