Wollaton Hall and Park are reporting there is currently a blue-green algae bloom in the lake.

Wollaton Hall and Park are reporting “there is currently a blue-green algae bloom in the lake. While it’s a natural occurrence, it can be harmful to both people and pets if swallowed or if there’s close contact.”

They are recommending “For everyone’s safety:

  • Please keep dogs out of the water and stop them from drinking it.
  • Please avoid swimming or paddling in the lake per our site rules.”
