Future of Wollaton Hall and Park

Nottingham City Council have published its proposed budget savings for 2025 to 2029, which includes the following update on Wollaton Hall and Park.

This includes the following line about Wollaton Hall and Park in Appendix 2: (Note under the Nottingham City Council structure, Wollaton Hall and Park comes under Museums and Galleries, and not Parks and Open Spaces)

A revised management model for Museums and Galleries.
Increasing revenue, reducing operating costs and establishing a charitable development trust and exhibitions company.

The FoWP committee are in regular contact with the Park Management and has been reassured the changes are a positive outcome given the council’s situation. Details of the proposed changes have not yet been released publically.
