Fifty Trees Planted

A dedicated team of 12 volunteers prepared the ground for a tree nursery and planted fifty saplings.

In November, our incredible volunteers began clearing the area between the inner and outer walls on the East side of the Walled Garden.

Today, a dedicated team of 12 volunteers continued the bramble and bindweed clearance work, and found time to plant fifty (yes 50) saplings!

These donated broadleaf trees, a mix of Oak, Beech, Wild Cherry, Elder and Horse Chestnut, will be nurtured here for about five years before being transplanted into the park.

A massive thank you to all who participated – a well-deserved free coffee!
